Key figures 2023

Increasing quality through training

In 2023, 8,151 clinical research staff were trained and 202 courses were offered. These courses were mainly given on ethics and good clinical practice (GCP) (36%) or in undergraduate or postgraduate training programmes (MD, MSc, CAS, DAS, PhD) (23%). In the past year, four courses for patients were offered for the first time that trained 101 participants. Nearly 40% of the training provided consisted of other courses related to clinical research, for example research seminars and lectures in specialised curricula.

Contributions to over 180 scientific publications

Acting as academic partners, members of the CTU Network co-authored 180 scientific publications in 2023.

The SCTO CTU Network is the country’s largest provider of services and training for academic clinical research. In 2023, the CTU Network was involved in 2,468 clinical research projects and trained 8,151 clinical research staff and 101 patients.
